Why are the horses 3 and 4 year olds?

0

A. Each of the three horses are staying bred. They have not been pushed as youngsters but have been allowed to mature. They have not been left in the paddock doing nothing however. Each horse has been thoroughly educated with 12 months of dressage training plus at least one racetrack preparation. They have remained sound throughout this process and are now ready to be trained as stayers.
