Why are the fines for non-attendance without prior notification for some courses higher than £75?
A. £75 is the set amount used by the Yorkshire Deanery for non-attendance on its training days, which is used for the YMTP office for its regular teaching days. However, the courses below incur a higher cost than £75 a day and prevent the place being offered to a Modular trainee or an external candidate. Waiting lists for some courses can be up to a year long. All the courses below have limited places available, therefore non-attendance on these courses has a detrimental effect to those trainees on the waiting list and is an inefficient use of resources. Income from the Part II courses goes towards the Weetwood Hall meetings. Income from YMTP courses is put back into the programme, for example the Regional Conference Day and funding of StratOG. Both of these meetings are free to trainees, as well as guaranteeing the continuation of these courses. • DFSRH course – £100 per day (£250 for the whole course), after we have received your signed application form. • RCOG BPS – £175 per day, af
