Not all Scots hate the English. Just because some Scots want Scottish independence doesn’t necessarily mean they hate the English. Many supporters of Glasgow Rangers football club support unity and do not mind being called British or Scottish. Some English people are supporting Murray because as well as being Scottish he is also British, just like the English. Many English people dislike the Americans more than the Scottish.
