Why are the dates shown for Photos in the File Browser correct, but incorrect for the Photos in the Media Library?

The Media Hub uses the date information stored inside media files. If no date exists, then the Media Hub uses the date of the media file itself. For example, if a digital camera stamped a picture with an invalid date, then this date may be used when the Media Hub sorts the photo in the File Browser, even if the file import date differs.
