Why are the Council proposing to introduce parking controls?
In the Spring of 2008, the Council issued a parking questionnaire asking for the public opinion on current parking conditions and possible future parking controls. The majority of residents of Dowanhill, Napiershall and the area adjacent to Hamilton Drive who returned a completed questionnaire, voted that they would be in favour of parking controls. Before proceeding to full statutory consultation, council officers will endeavour to inform as many people as possible who may live or work in the affected areas of any future plans, either by public exhibition or leaflet drop. This leaflet is intended to answer some common questions regarding parking controls.
