Why are the chlorine tablets in my pool dissolving so fast?

I’ve seen this product each tablet dissolves into a little pile of doggy poo! That is what they are supposed to do. The product is made from Calcium Hypochlorite and I would not put them in the skimmer regardless of what they say. A floating dispenser would be nice. There is another solid chlorine called Trichlor tablets that are slow dissolving but they are incompatible with Calhypo often with explosion or fire resulting. Best to use a floater and do not put in skimmer. Trichlor is acidic and over time your pH will decline and need soda ash to increase. Calhypo is 11pH and needs muraitic acid to balance. You’re welcome!!
