Why are templates being used on ISUs new site?
The use of templates has several desirable outcomes. Idaho State University has a very limited staff to maintain its top-level pages and assist departments with their individual web pages. Using templates makes this process more manageable. Less time is spent designing each page, it is much easier to make changes on a large number of pages when it is time for a redesign of the site, and they create a consistent and unified appearance.
