Why are symbols and the imagination important?
Symbols are the way that the higher self, or soul uses to communicate with its human mind. Beyond the symbolic, mental means, lies the soul’s own realm of pure intuition. Imagination is the meeting ground. One could say that the imagination is the lowest frequency of the intuition. Hence, initially, it is our primary interface with higher consciousness. The power of symbols, and in fact, their practical implied value for us, was accurately expressed by Carl Jung when he concluded: “The psychological mechanism that transforms energy is the symbol.
