Why are SUV rollovers a caution that consumers should be more aware of?
Even though rollovers are not as common as other types of accidents, rollovers often result in serious injuries or death. There are more than 10,000 fatalities due to SUV rollover in the United States each year. In fact, the number of SUV rollover fatalities exceed the number of fatalities from side and rear collisions combined. If consumers were more aware of the limited safety factors of SUVs, consumers would be more likely to demand safer designs from manufacturers.
