Why are students reported to SJA?
As members of society and our academic community, students have both rights and responsibilities, and are expected to comply with all laws and with University policies and campus regulations. These policies and regulations include, but are not limited to, the UC Davis Code of Academic Conduct (link) and the University of California Standards of Conduct for Students (link) (which prohibit, for example, conduct that impairs or interferes with the educational function and mission of the University, or that threatens health, safety or the security of property, equipment, resources, documents, or information). Students are reported to SJA when there are concerns that their behavior may have violated these University or campus standards.
