A. Both PCTE and PETE filter membranes are transparent in pore sizes larger than 5 micron and they are translucent in smaller pore sizes. However, when any of the pore sizes are wet with either water or most other liquids, the membranes become completely transparent. Polyester membranes offer more transparency than Polycarbonate.
