A While statewide checks offer more geographic coverage, not every state actually has a state repository and if they do, the records are not always inclusive. Each state differs in how they archive criminal records. Even the states that do report cannot ensure that every county or parish in that state has given them every case and the result of every case that has been filed. Please be advised that a statewide check will not always mirror records found at the county level.
