Why are special nail caps needed?
DL is expected to remain in good, tight condition covering walls for many years. It must be able to bear its weight and that of any heavy objects that get hooked in the fabric. It must be able to withstand stress in localized areas as might occur from pulling or peeling actions. It must be easy to install on various wall surfaces such as mud, brick, or wood. After testing a wide variety of fixing methods (adhesives, tapes, staples, nails, screws, hooks, mud plasters), research shows that a local nail combined with our special nail cap provides the strongest attachment to any wall surface. Tests on mud walls show the fabric would rip before the nail + cap could be pulled out. This nail cap system provides unmatched durability for the installation of DL.
