Why are sow bugs crustaceans?

I believe it’s because they have seven pairs of legs, which makes them not an insect but a crustacean and they have gills. Land sow bugs, they also call them isopods, can drown if submerged in water but they do need high levels of humidity in order to breath, or they’ll dry out and die. Okay, hope this helps a little.
