Why are some teams practicing, but we havent heard from a coach yet?
Coaches are given their rosters at a coach meeting held late in August. Some coaches are prepared and anxious to get started and begin practices within a day or two of the meeting. Others may be busy with work or the start of school and begin their calls and practices later. Remember, they are all just volunteers and they will contact you at least 3-4 days before the first game which is the first Sunday after Labor Day. If this date goes by without a call from a coach, contact our league office.
