Why are some sporting events blocked?
Certain sporting events are blocked locally to protect the rights of local broadcast stations. If that occurs you should be able to view the games on local broadcast. However, other restrictions, established by the leagues, may apply to protect the rights of regional sports networks. Blackouts are not based upon whether a game is home or away, but depends on who is bringing you the game.
