– Turbine uses the Windows Media/Direct Show framework to work with video files, if your movie doesn’t open on Turbine Video, it will probably also not open on Windows Media Player, which usually means that the file is corrupt or that you don’t have the necessary video/audio codec installed on your system (if this is the case Windows Media Player will usually try to download the necessary codec).
