Why are some people turning off cancels altogether?
Until authenticated cancels catch on, there are no options to avoid forged cancels and allow unforged ones. One option, advocated by a few, vocal people that don’t want to allow such forgery, is to not accept cancels at all. If you want to do so, you’re welcome to, but it probably isn’t the best option, at least in the near future.
