Why are some of the Windows Media Player playback controls unavailable?
Windows Media Player or a player that uses the Windows Media Player ActiveX control has several playback controls, including Fast-Forward, Rewind, Pause, and Skip. All of these controls are not available in all streaming scenarios. The following factors affect which controls are available when Windows Media Player is streaming content:Windows Media Player version.
