Why are some of the cursed videos in the download section in such a bad quality?
The reason for this is that not all of the cursed videos had their original, full 4:3 (TV format) uncropped versions, that they watch in the movie, publicly released. Actually, the only two cursed videos which were used in Ring versions and were released in such format, were the Ring (1998) and The Ring cursed videos. Although there is a full Ring: Kanzenban cursed video available in the end of the straight-to-video version of the movie, it’s not the same version as the one they watch throughout the movie, so that’s why the in-movie version of the Ring: Kanzenban cursed video is put onto the site separately.
