Why are some of the Cricut cartridges in ‘just the box’ rather than the plastic covering the box?
Cricut sells machines with a cartridge included, such as Plantin Schoolbook, Accent Essentials, George Basic Shapes, or Don Juan. These cartridges come from the manufacturer with a keypad overlay and instruction book, but without plastic encasing the cardboard box. Some customers would prefer to purchase the stand alone machine, where others would like to purchase just the cartridge, without buying a whole machine. We’ve answered our customers’ wishes by offering some machines at a reduced price without the cartridge included, and then we sell the cartridge separately.
