Why are some nearby towns and villages of interest to tourists and of historical value not included in the listed site ?
The site included on the list is the Val de Loire itself and in general terms the area between the hills on either side (See the map of the listed site). However, the impact of inclusion on the list will be felt across a much wider area than the listed site itself, and many attractions and communities will benefit from the area’s increased attractiveness.
