Why are some Lebanese saying that they are not Arab?
fuck arabs we are not arabs we are lebanese,the best people on the planet.we are much better than arab countries and any other countries or states in the world.

I take it so offensively that they take it so offensively to be called Arab, look how some of them are fighting you over it I had a girl I knew in high school who was lebanese and if i told her we are arabs she would literally scream EWWWWWW (she really did say ew) I AM NOT ARAB AKHH IM LEBANESEEE id be like ok well i consider myself an Arab so thanks for calling me “ew” and i like how my country was called a trainwreck and i like how they said we are all jealous of them Most Palestinians are proven to be descendants of left overs from the Roman Empire but we dont scream ROMAN every chance we get, I consider myself Arabiyeh 🙂 wooow lol asshoooleeesss 🙂 some people here are so mean let me tell u something i know many lebanese people but the lebanese people i know arent the ones that scream PHONECIA every chance they get, not every Lebanese are like the people here so dont get discouraged
I noticed this too. The way I see it, if the majority of your descent is Semitic and you are indigenous to Lebanon, you are a recent Arab due to the Arab migration during ancient times. The idea of being of French descent sounds absurd. Yes I understand that the Crusades came and the French colonized Lebanon, but a few hundred years of exposure to the French does not change the thousands of years of Arab and Semiticness of Lebanon. The idea of being of Greek descent is quite absurd because Greek rule of the area between Egypt and India has been gone for a while now. And even during Greek rule many people were ‘Greek speaking’ rather than ‘Greek’. If you are a person who is actually just a Greek who recently settled in Lebanon that is a different story. During ancient times the Greeks saw the areas East to mainland Greece as Barbaric(primarily the peoples of present day Anatolia and the former Persian Empire) so the likelihood of a mass migration of Greeks to Shaam isn’t super likely(as
I don’t know why but some people in Egypt, Lebanon, and those countries say that only the golf countries r Arabs. That sounds weird. For example when I lived in Egypt I knew a man there and we used to talk every once in a while. He told me one time that Egypt isn’t an Arab country only golf countries r. Not only him I’ve seen others too.
