Why are some fragrances limited or discontinued?

0

Some fragrances are limited for different reasons. First, some fragrances are seasonal and will only appear during certain seasons, such as winter scents(Christmas Cabarnet, Pine, ect.) and summer scents(cantaloupe, Summer Sorbet, ect.). Second, when new fragrances are developed, a lot of the time a few batches are “tested” to see how customers respond to the new scents. If there is a good response, the fragrance is kept. If not, it is “limited” and sold until gone, therefore becoming discontinued. Discontinued scents may also be due to declining popularity of a scent when it becomes no longer feasible to make them.
