Why are some drawing frames passages fitted with a self-regulator?
The drawing frame self-regulator guarantees medium and long term regularity of the sliver produced. It is used in passages where regularity is among process specifications and when you should guarantee regularity conditions at the beginning of the process. A self-regulator is generally used with the following drawing frames: • Second pre-combing passage; • Combing finisher passage; • Can emptying passage or re-combing finisher passage; • First and/or second spinning preparation passage.
