Why are some Christians so self-absorbed?
Being self-absorbed is a struggle for most humans,regardless of religion. Just because someone is a Christian does not mean that they are free from this problem. It may just be more apparent in Christians because there are only a few religions in the world that believe theirs is the only way, so this means that the tendency to be self-absorbed is more vocal. Also, a person can’t logically think that something is right without believing that its opposite it wrong, so you should expect that someone who believes in something strongly will be prepared to stand up for what they believe in. If you are confident in what YOU think, why does it bother you if someone tells you that you are wrong? Everyone is entitled to and responsible for their own beliefs.
