Why are some black people so mad about Chris Rocks Good Hair movie?
With Chris Rock appearing on Oprah yesterday to talk about his highly-anticipated movie, Good Hair, folks are all excited with Good Hair fever. (Chris Rock’s “Good Hair” movie opens in limited release on October 9, 2009 — so check your local theaters and buy them out!) Solange spent $40,000 – $50,000 per year on hair weaves… Oprah’s hair dresser of 24 years deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, says Chris Rock… But when I first wrote this article about Chris Rock’s Good Hair movie with sneak preview videos and trailers, I never expected some of the comments I received from disgruntled black people, mad at Chris Rock for supposedly “airing our dirty laundry” and “giving white people” more ammunition to laugh at us and make fun of us. Some people even dog out Tyra Banks and Wendy Williams for openly talking about their hair weaves.
