Why are some BibleDatabase files .EXE and not .ZIP files?

A. Many of the folk downloading the software are not computer gurus [like you] and either do not have a program like Winzip or do not know how to use it. Having the files as self installing executables, alleviates this problem. However, for those trying to download from the office, we know that many Network Administrators prevent the downloading of .EXE files over their networks for fear of computer viruses. This is unfortunate and unnecessary as virtually all viruses these days are in the form of either VB script or Macro viruses which are not .EXE files anyway. The only remedy here is to download from home.
