Why are some Americans so afraid of anything remotely “socialist”, like a different healthcare system?
Americans are shallow and easily scared by words like “socialist”. They’d rather pay two or three times more money for a worse system, a system that routinely drops people from coverage as soon as they get sick. Its the price Americans pay for being stupid. Look at it as natural selection–the stupid Americans are eliminating themselves from the breeding population.
Because Americans are passionate about liberty and personal responsibility. The truth is that socialised healthcare involves rationing and that means the government deciding who is “worthy” of receiving treatment and who isn’t. This is the thin end of the wedge that is Facism. Particularly as we move into a new age of genetic determinism in healthcare you will see in places like the UK how socialised healthcare and facism go hand in hand ultimately.
