Why are so many White people so against affirmative action policies?
Speaking as a white woman, a lot of white people feel AA is reverse discrimination. But those are the people who don’t understand or recognize their white privilege. Those, like myself, who do recognize that white privilege exists understand that programs like this are very necessary in order to level the playing field. But even more so than AA I think we need to put equal money into public schools to give all students of all backgrounds an equal chance of academic success.
