Why are so many “old people” buying motorcycles?

Well, I have only been riding since I was 18, in 1952. Only have about 1/2 million miles so far, do not think I will make it to 1 million, but intend to keep trying. One reason I have had such a long affair with motorcycles is the people I know who ride. They, as a group, are the best group of people I have known. I spent 30 years with a large computer manufacturer, spent time in Europe, and was in Germany in the Army. Same there, the motorcycle riders were the best. Yes, I also enjoy the power, speed, etc., have done a bit of racing, a lot of back road scratching, some dirt, lot of drags, and speed trials. I have been able to do things with the bikes I could never have afforded with cars. And I will ride as long as I can safely do so. Tomcotexas.
