Why are so many of the high schools boarding schools in Rwanda?
The Rwandan genocide occurred in 1994, which is 15 years ago, so all the students in your school will have survived the genocide. Many children lost one or both parents during this horrific period so the schools have become a major role in caring for these children, many of whom do not have other places to go.
