There is racism in the system. It’s especially visible in drug crimes. 33% of those arrested for drugs are black, but 73% of those who serve time for drugs are black. Also, the minimum federal sentence for crack, which is more popular in black communities, is 3x what the sentence is for cocaine, which is the same drug but more popular with whites. I’m white and I can’t deny that our nation (the US) has an extemely racist judicial system and police system. It’s a shame.
