Why are so many Americans intolerant of immigrants speaking their native language in the US?
Yes I totally agree with you. I mean, people often do not realize that they really are trying to learn English, but the thing is the whole reason they came up here was to work and support their families. That is their main focus in life, to support their children and give them a better life than they personally had experienced. From personal experience, I can tell you that most of the Mexican immigrants who come up here had horrendous living conditions in Mexico. I mean I’ve been there multiple times and honest to god there are like villages of people living in cardboard boxes, and the kids walk around all day selling cheap gum and who knows what. People honestly survive on a few dollars a day there. So when they come up here there main purpose isn’t to learn English so that they don’t offend the touchy Americans. No, what they care about is finding a job and supporting their kids. They don’t want their kids to live the way they did and they want a better way of life. Is that such a te
