Why Are so many Americans against universal Health care?
Do the math. Obama said it would cost just under $1 TRILLION dollars over 10 years. Have you heard of any federal program that sticks to budget? But lets assume (ha ha) that for once, the feds can stay within budget. And to make it easy, let’s say it is $900 Billion. That means $90 Billion each year. We have around 300 Million citizens. So divide. For each citizen we will have to pay $300. That is every man, woman and child. However, the whole issue is the poor people so you can bet people who are doing well, who probably already have insurance will have to pay more so the poor people will not have to pay at all. Since the average yearly salary is $40,000, if you make more than that, you will have to pay double to cover for those who make less than that. So if you have a family of five, you will have to pay YOUR money so that is $1500 for your family each year AND another $1500 for that poor family. So if you are middle class you are going to be out $3000 a year. And why? Obama’s own f
When was the last time the government ran anything efficiently or better than the private sector? The only thing the government runs “well” is the military, but it is far from efficient. It sounds like you aren’t an American, but take our social security, medicare, post office etc. They are all poorly run, inn efficient and bankrupt. To those who say government run health care will eliminate big business from scamming us out of our money… now it will be the politicians instead, only instead of having an option in the free market we are FORCED to buy health insurance. FYI nobody was denied health “care”, just not everybody had health “insurance”. I’m not saying the system was perfect but the government is far from perfect. Maybe soon we will have Gov*Mart where we can get our drivers license, mail a letter, see a doctor and the IRS all in one place.
