Why are slipcovers a good idea?
If you have small children or pets slipcovers will prolong the life of your upholstery. A slipcover can be taken off washed and put back on. Upholstery you have to have cleaned or clean yourself. A good was to prolong the covers whether they be slipcovers or upholstery is to spray Scotchguard or some kind of fabric coat that is specially made to protect the fabric from spills and stains.
