Why are shop drawings necessary for something as simple as a mat or grate frame?

All of our products have limited dimensions, special requirements for supports and other considerations in which the frame dimension is important. Mats, for example, have rails that are 2″ on center. The size of the frame will determine whether or not filler will be required on the mats. For grates with deep pit frames, the grates’ section sizes determine where we place the cross supports that are critical to proper installation.
