Why are separate signals from the Flight MCU used to enable +5V_SW power and the MHX transceiver interface?
This is done primarily for two reasons: 1) The MHX transceiver takes a relatively long time to power up. The –ON_+5V signal allows the Flight MCU to keep the MHX transceiver power on while the interface is disabled and the I/O pins are used for other purposes. 2) For CubeSat Kit configurations that employ the Flight MCU as the main processor, +5V_SW can be used as a power supply signal that is under the Flight MCU’s control.
