Why are Scandinavian countries so sparsely populated?
I guess it’s not an obvious place for alot of people to think to move to. I mean, the UK colonised alot of the world, so it’s an obvious place for people from those former colonies to think of moving to. Also as it can be very cold in the winter, not many people want to move there. Also, places like that, the US, Canada, Australia, and many others all speak English. Alot of people worldwide learn English so its easier for them to move to an English-speaking country. Not many people learn the Scandinavian languages at school, so if they want to move there its hard for them as they have to learn a new language. I know from experience that its also hard to move to Scandinavia (especially Sweden) because there’s already unemployment and they prefer to give jobs to their own people, so you have to have a skill they really need and learn the language. Scandinavian families also often don’t produce alot of kids as women there tend to work outside the home just as much as the men, Scandinavia
