Why are registration and effective dates important?
Registration and effective dates are important as they give you priority within your band. If you are a Platinum, Gold or Silver band customer your effective date will be used. If you are a Bronze or General band customer your registration date will be used. Customers with earlier registration and effective dates will be offered properties before customers with later dates. For Bronze and General band customers this means that if you have been on the register for a long time you will be offered a property before someone who has just joined.
