Why are readings packages so expensive?
The royalties per page are currently about 9 cents per published page. So, if you photocopy a book and get 2 pages on 1 sheet, then double-side your readings package, 1 sheet of paper costs about $.40 in royalties alone. We pay Printing Services to process and print readings packages and add a small markup to this cost alone – we do not mark up the royalty price.
