Why are promiscuous men seen as bad guys and promiscuous women seen as victims?
This is a very commonly held attitude. According to psychological theory, we identify the factor of biology to have a stronger affect on men than women. Because biology tends to influence men to have sex, the man is succumbing to carnal cravings by having lots of meaningless sex. Women however, are biologically driven to maintain one sexual partner in order to care for their offspring. Thus women who are sexually permiscuous are interpretted as influenced by external factors over their natural insticts. IE: The man is being a sexual beast while the woman must have something wrong with her because she’s defying her biological nature. It may not be fair, but it does (sort of) make sense.
