Why are previous entries displayed as a dropdown list when I enter data in some fields such as account number, PIN, transaction amount, etc.?

Some of the latest versions of browsers have features, such as “AutoComplete” in Internet Explorer 5.0, that can save previous entries you have made for web addresses, forms, passwords, etc. Therefore, when you type similar information in one of these fields, a dropdown list with possible matches will automatically appear from which you can select.
