Why are premature babies born early?
Well there are many reasons that your baby may be born early, and all sorts of things can lead to premature labour. • Your baby could be premature due to a caesarean section if you have pre eclampsia, or some other serious condition. • There is a chance that if you are having a multiple birth, your babies may be born prematurely. • Self inflicted things such as a poor diet or smoking can cause premature labour. • Incompetent cervix, this is where your cervix can’t stay closed once the baby starts to gain weight in your uterus.
