Users must have a properly registered IP address in order to e-mail an Alcor account, as well as in order to send from an Alcor account. This means that the Host and Domain name must not be the same as the IP address. Due to IITS’ security policy, this policy cannot be changed and the registration of the IP address must be done. To verify if your IP address is properly registered, please visit http://myip.concordia.ca. The IP address must be different than the Host and Domain Name. If they are the same, users can try resetting their modem to get a new, registered IP, or they can contact their ISP.
