Why are people imprisoned in Germany for denying the Holocaust?
I was listening to the radio the other morning and they were talking about the Holocaust Conference that was being held in Iran, and the news reporter mentioned that it is illegal to deny the Holocaust in Germany and France, and a few other countries as well. I am not sure the reasonings behind this and it would be rather interesting to find out why certain countries make it illegal to deny the Holocaust. I am not saying that I am denying the Holocaust by an means, I’ve written papers for history classes and there is too much evidence proving that the Holocaust did happen.
