Why are people here in the Hoodland corridor applying to become one?
ODOT is requiring that we become a “governmental agency” in order to continue getting grants for the very successful “Mountain Express Bus” (that is allow seniors to get to Sandy and kids to get home from after school activities). Additionally, some of the other projects are finding that they need to be a “government agency” to be successful and others will benefit greatly from having “standing” as a “governmental agency”.
