Why are our rose quartz crystals leaking salty water?
True quartz, rose or any other color, will not leak salty water. It could condense water out of the air a drip but it will not be salty. Can you think of any way you are adding salt unthinkingly, either to the holders or to the water. Some colored candles use different salty compounds to add colors to the candle and to the flame. Maybe the salt comes from the wax. In the southwestern deserts there are lots of salt pans that have a pinkish reddish color due to algae. SOme of these halite crystals are pretty big but they are far to soft and fragile to be mistaken for quartz. But if damp they will leak salty water.
