Why are Nuclear weapons good for us?
Look at history and the long pattern of advancing military technology and increasing civilian deaths the destructiveness of war increased dramatically from 1800 on with chemical industrial and biological warfare However since 1945 large scale war and civilian deaths have decreased dramatically, even with such horrors as Rwanda and the Balkans Nobel who invented dynamite wanted his money to be used to promote Peace. Gatling, who invented the machine gun near the end of the civil war hoped it would make was as he new it impossible by giving a few men the power to kill thousands of advancing enemy Einstein said something like ” Atomic weapons have changed everything” MAD Mutual assured destruction did prevent a WW after 1945 Mankind MUST find a way to settle problems without war.
Since 1945 countries have been trying to get Nuclear weapons for “self defense” so we gave them the know-how and the uranium. Now that a lot of Countries have the Bomb we are getting scared one of them might use it on us. We used to be able to control these Countries but lately some of them are getting a little out of hand. So, we have to limit these Bombs. Now some of these Countries are saying to themselves hey whats with the USA all of a sudden. Only one Country has ever used the Bomb on another Country. Only one Country has promised to put sanctions on another Country for trying to make a Bomb. If all the Countries give up the Bomb then only the USA will have the Bombs, hmmm, its a good thing for us that we have Obama looking out for our interests.
