Why are noble gases considered as the most ionized elements?

0

Any atom can become ionized; however the energy required to do this varies by element. Noble gases are actually the HARDEST to ionize because they have a full valence electron shell (this means that the outer layer of electrons has as many electrons as it can hold) and thus does not easily react witho other elements to become ionized. The energy required to ionize an atom is called ionization energy, and noble gases have the highest ionization energies of all the elements. The ionization energy increases from bottom left to top right of the periodic table. Helium has the highest ionization energy (is the hardest element to ionize and it is a noble gas), and the element with the lowest ionization energy is francium.
